WOAH BABY! Is a fun and interactive collection of songs to laugh and sing as baby grows. The goal of this record is to provide comfort and familiarity to baby while going about our daily routines. From diaper changes to bath time, WOAH BABY! covers it all with a unique perspective and the ability to make us laugh through the struggles of infancy.

It is unlike any other collection of songs for baby on the market today and a must have for any new parent. WOAH BABY! was written and produced by Toronto songwriter Amanda Bentley. Amanda is a first time parent and the proud mother of a six month old little boy.

From the Composer: The concept for this album was born two months after the birth of my son. Each time he would cry for a diaper change my husband would sing him the theme song from Indiana Jones as we carried him off to his change table. After a couple days of this, I noticed a dramatic change in my son’s behavior. The crying stopped the moment he heard his “theme music” start up. This got me thinking… if the theme from Indiana Jones works for diaper changes, why wouldn’t other songs work for other various tasks we encountered throughout the day?

WOAH BABY! was born.

I quickly began composing songs that incorporated all of our daily activities; bath time, bed time, car rides and more. I noticed an immediate change in my son. We found our rhythm and there was familiarity and comfort in his life through music. When he got fussy at 7 o’clock, I would sing our bath time song. The crying would stop almost instantly because he knew that now was the time for his bath and massage.

As a new mom, I was thrilled when I received an assortment of “baby” CDs as shower gifts. As a songwriter, I was disappointed by the lack of originality. I had no need for four versions of “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star”. If I wanted my son to listen to Mozart, I would play him real Mozart, not a watered down “music box” remix and why did everything have to be a lullaby? My baby is awake a good portion of the day. I’m not always trying to put him to sleep. Sometimes we want to play and learn.

WOAH BABY! is a one of a kind interactive music experience designed to comfort baby in a way that is entertaining and fun for the whole family. Older siblings love the songs too and will happily sing along. Silly songs for fun loving babies. WOAH BABY!
